Harman Kardon DMC 250 Upgrade - Remove Region Coding restrictions. Back

This upgrade will:

  • Remove Region Coding restrictions, allowing DVDs from any region to be played.
This software upgrade has been thoroughly tested and is known to work correctly. It is therefore imperative that you follow the instructions to the letter as we regret that we are unable to offer technical support via this web site. We can accept no responsibility for download errors howsoever caused or errors caused by CD-ROMs burned at incorrect speeds.

!! IMPORTANT NOTE !!
This software update only works on the International, 230 V version of the DMC 250, and NOT on the 110V American version.

To Create The Patch CD
  1. Click on the 'dmcp_0215_2_free' icon above to download the ZIP file and extract the files to a folder.
  2. Write a DATA CD-Rom in lowest possible speed with the contents of the zip file.
To Run The Patch CD
  1. Inset the DATA disc into the DMC 250 and follow the OSD menu " press Enter to start download".
  2. OSD will show "In progress".
  3. Eject disc and remove disc.
  4. Warning - do not switch off DMC 250 for the next 30 minutes - the player will reset itself after some minutes and will then be ready to use.
