The instructions say to burn the CD at 1x speed, but my CD Burner doesn't support it. Will this matter?

The instructions we have received from our suppliers clearly state that only 1x speed should be used. However we have had
reports from several users to say that they have burned the CD at 4x speed with no problems.

Why do I want to use Progressive Scan?
Conventional TV is created using a system known as 'interlacing'. The image is generated by rapidly refreshed
horizontal lines running from the top to the bottom of your screen. A full set of these lines (625 in the UK)
generates a 'frame' of picture information.
These frames are split into two parts called 'fields'. Each field contains half the total number of scan lines
from each frame (312.5 lines in the UK) and are drawn one after the other to create your picture.
Progressive scan simply doesn't divide the frame into the two 'fields'. Instead it displays the entire frame at
once. This results in less flicker and much crisper images.
When I choose 'Progressive' on the DVD25 menu options my screen goes black. Why is this?
Progressive scan processing can only be transmitted via component output. The most common explanation for this
problem then is that your current monitor does not have these connections.
If you have connected via Scart, S-Video, RGB or Composite (the yellow, white and red inputs) then you will
only get a black screen.
To get a normal picture back the easiest way is to switch the DVD to to 'standby', point the remote control at
the player and press the 'clear' button until the machine goes to 'on'.
I have a Progressive Scan Television but the screen still goes black. Why is this?
You need to make sure your television is NOT set to Progressive Scan and is set to normal. If both the
television and the DVD player are both set to progressive scan then you get just a black screen.
